Sr Analyst, Compliance & ControlsAccountingVA OfficeBanking 5, Role CThis position is required to maintain the day-to-day compliance with internal control procedures as required by Section 112 of the FDIC Improvement Act (FDICIA), to perform quality control procedures required to meet regulatory reporting requirements, and to analyze the impact of new and prospective laws, regulations and accounting pronouncements that may affect NCB's financial reporting and disclosure process.
Responsibilities Include:

Monitor and update FDICIA documentation as required (40%)2.
Assist management with the remediation of control gaps and escalate possible critical issues to senior management, as needed (20%)3.
Assist Internal and External Audit with documentation requests (20%)4.
Maintain and update the Company's accounting policies and procedures (10%)Non-Essential Duties:

Other duties and projects as assigned (10%)Qualifications Include:
Three years of accounting experience in financial auditing, internal auditing, and/or internal control procedure creation/documentation/testing; supplemented with accounting and financial reporting experience.
BA/BS in Accounting required CPA preferred Sarbanes-Oxley experience strongly preferred Internal Control framework experience Advanced analytical abilities Advanced written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with automated accounting systems Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications, especially Excel and Word.
Familiarity with general ledger software packages.
AA/EOE Recommended Skills Accounting Systems Analytical Auditing Automation Communication Enterprise Application Software Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
